Recently, market research organization Counterpoint Research released the best-selling list of smartphones
in eight countries around the world in October this year, including the United States, China, India, Germany,
the United Kingdom, France, South Korea, and Japan.
The data shows that among these eight countries, with the exception of South Korea, Apple’s iPhone ranks first.
In the United States, iPhone 15 Pro Max ranks first with a share of 24, followed by iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15,
iPhone 14 and Samsung’s low-end and mid-range Galaxy A14.
In China
the iPhone 15 Pro Max ranks first with a 5% share, followed by the Huawei Mate 60 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro
with a 4% share, followed by the Honor X50 and iPhone 15 respectively.
In India
iPhone 14 ranks first with a 5% share, followed by mobile phones from domestic manufacturers such as vivo T2x,
Redmi 12, realme C53 and Redmi A2.
In Germany
iPhone 15 ranks first with a 12% share, followed by iPhone 14, iPhone 15 Pro Ma, iPhone 15 Pro and Samsung flagship Galaxy S23.
In the UK
the top five are all iPhone models, with iPhone 15 Pro Max ranking first with a share of 11%, followed by iPhone 15 Pro,
iPhone 15, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
In France
iPhone 15 Pro occupied the first position with 11% share, followed by Samsung Galaxy S23, iPhone 15,
iPhone 14 and Samsung Galaxy S23+.
In South Korea
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 surpassed the iPhone 15 Pro Max to rank first with a 12% share.
It is also the only non-Apple model to rank first among the eight countries.
In Japan
the same iPhone models occupy the top five, namely iPhone 14, iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 13 and iPhone SE 2022.
Taken together, Apple and Samsung are still the global mobile phone overlords,
occupying relatively high market shares in most major countries.
