Just now, Leica’s official website suddenly launched an iPhone accessory called the “Leica LUX Handle”.
This is a camera handle specially made by Leica for Apple iPhone. It is suitable for iPhone 12
and subsequent models and is priced at 2,380 yuan.
The handle uses Apple’s MagSafe magnetic technology, which can be easily attached to the iPhone
and automatically align the lens position without the need for complicated buckles.
It weighs about 130g and has an aluminum body, which is both light and durable. It feels similar
to a traditional camera when held and is easy to operate with one hand.
It is equipped with a two-stage mechanical shutter button, half-press to focus, full-press to shoot,
and a rotatable dial to adjust shutter speed, aperture, and exposure compensation.
There are also two custom buttons, which perfectly restore the physical operation logic of Leica
cameras and support backlight display parameters.
In terms of battery life and compatibility, the LUX handle is equipped with a USB-C charging port,
and the built-in battery can be fully charged in 2 hours, which can support about 1,000 shots.
However, the premise is that it must be used with the Leica LUX App, and it is not compatible with
the iPhone native camera and needs to be connected to the Leica exclusive app via Bluetooth.
However, the Leica LUX App also brings a unique experience. It has a built-in classic lens
simulation function, and can also manually adjust parameters such as ISO and white balance,
so that photos can bid farewell to the stereotyped filter style.
In addition, the handle also comes with a brown leather storage bag with an AirTag protective cover.
