Detalles del chip de 16 dispositivos Apple expuestos, tanto iPhone como iPad disponibles

As usual, Apple will release a new generation of iPhone series mobile phones this fall.

At the same time, given that Apple did not bring iterative updates to the iPad series of devices last year, it is speculated that it should launch a number of new iPad devices this year.
Now, as time goes by, the latest revelations also show information about the chips used in 16 iPads and iPhones that Apple will update this year.
It is reported that in the list of chip identifiers, there are eight unreleased Apple devices, including two devices equipped with A14 chips, two devices equipped with A17 series chips, and four devices equipped with M2 chips.

Among them, the two devices equipped with the A14 chip are the Wi-Fi version and the Wi-Fi + cellular network version of the 11th generation iPad.

However, since the current 10th generation iPad is already equipped with the A14 chip, the chip solution shown in the latest revelations is also inconsistent with previous revelations about the configuration of the iPad (11th generation).
Therefore, there is also speculation that these two iPad devices equipped with A14 chips may be improved versions of the 10th generation iPad with Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + cellular network configurations, or they may be HomePod with a display.

At the same time, the device equipped with the A17 series chip may be the highly anticipated iPad mini.

The two models will be the seventh-generation iPad mini that supports Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + cellular network configurations.
According to the news, it may be equipped with the A17 Pro chip or a different version of the A17 chip. In comparison, the iPad mini devices currently on sale are equipped with the A15 Bionic chip, and previous revelations have mentioned that the next generation upgrade is expected to be equipped with the A16 chip. Therefore, if the chip information shown in the revelations is accurate, then its actual performance upgrade is also of concern.

As for the four devices equipped with M2 chips, relevant speculation shows that they should be the sixth-generation iPad Air.

According to past news, Apple will bring two size versions of 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch for this generation of iPad Air, and provide Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + cellular network versions respectively.
In terms of appearance, the sixth-generation iPad Air will redesign the rear camera module and support Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, but there are no major external design changes expected.
For reference, the fifth-generation iPad Air currently on sale was released in March 2022 and is equipped with the M1 chip. Therefore, this year’s product upgrades should also focus on the core performance part.

The iPad Pro series will also be upgraded this year, and the core specifications are expected to be upgraded to the M3 chip.

According to the news, the next generation 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro will be the first iPad products equipped with OLED displays.
OLED technology will enable the next-generation iPad Pro display to have higher brightness, higher contrast, lower power consumption and other advantages compared to existing LCD panels.
It is reported that iPad Pro models released in 2017 and later support ProMotion and support variable refresh rates between 24Hz and 120Hz. If this year’s iPad Pro switches to OLED, it may support the refresh rate lower limit to be further reduced to 10Hz or lower, bringing a better battery life experience.

In addition, the chip information of the new generation of iPhone series devices also appeared in the news.

According to the news, the iPhone 16 series will use the same A18 series chip. However, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max may still use chips named A18 Pro, and the standard A18 chips in iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus may have some differentiated designs.

As for the specific release time of new products, based on existing news, the new generation of iPad series devices is expected to be unveiled this month, and the new iPhone 16 series will appear at the launch event in the second half of the year.
